Now on its 16th year, producer-performer Lou Bonnevie leads Earthday Jam, the
women-dominated music festival, with soul singer Nina, bossanova artist Sitti, singer songwriter Kitchie Nadal and Barbie Almabis at the Mall of Asia on April 23.
“This is sort of a reunion for us. We jumpstarted at MoA in 2011 and we had so much fun. The audience is more diverse and so we find it more challenging to bring across the message of environmental care and preservation,” enthused Lou, founder of Earthday Jam and president of Earthday Jam Foundation.
“We want our efforts to reach an even wider audience… promoting environmental awareness down to the people who know nothing about global warming and environmental issues,” Lou added.
Women-fronted bands will definitely rock the house with more than 15 big names in various musical genre with Gracenote, vocalist-actress Arci Munoz and her band Philia, and fresh from the US, newcomer all-female band Flying Ipis and the youngest participating band, Absolute Play.
This musical marathon celebrating international Earth Day shows no signs of slowing down. Starting at 5 p.m., join the over 100 musicians and artists in a 8-hour musical journey that’s bound to be extremely wild and fun.

The rock scene will bring back metal kings Slapshock, Kjwan and The Chongkeys. Pop rock bands with their power hits 6Cycle Minds and Mayonnaise joins the roster with the prince of hip hop, favorite modern poet Abra.
